Son Management Inc. was established in 1999, offering an array of vital services to corporate clients throughout North America. Our story goes back further than that though. Our roots trace beyond our founder, Andy Marr:

Born fifth generation on a family dairy farm in Corn Hill, New Brunswick, Canada, Andy grew up with humble beginnings and basic values.

Always involved with people and sales, as a boy he began selling vegetables at roadside stands and with his father’s help raised his own cattle to sell. He then moved on to farming in Ontario and sold shoes in Moncton, again using the work ethic learned on the farm from his parents.

He received a Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science at Mount Allison University in Sackville, NB, again honing people skills that would become so valuable later.

From Mount Allison he began a communications career at Hawk Communications, learning all aspects of the business, from relationships to sales, production management to purchasing, account development to customer service.

Recognizing the potential of the printing business, he became the Atlantic representative for Bowne of Montreal, an international printing company, growing first year sales by more than 900% in just three years.

In 1999, Son Management was created to fill a void in the delivery of a vast array of products from consulting to printing, packaging to implementation throughout North America.

In 2001, a new business opportunity arose, one that would help clients recover money they were owed. This branch of Son Management was created to handle the growing need for Financial/Tax Advisory services, closing the gap in the desire to become a full service firm.

Andy’s brother Harley joined the company, offering his years of international sales experience to turn the staid tax business into fun for himself and his clients.

Outstanding growth led Son Management to carve out two distinct businesses:

Son Management Inc., the Canadian Sales Tax recovery operation.
Son Management International Inc., which handles Canadian Sales Tax recovery work for our American clients.

Since coming to Sackville more than 20 years ago, Andy has appreciated Sackville’s small town feel and the strong sense of community. It is a great place for he and his wife to raise their children and still remain relaxed enough to run an International Business.
